Ground: A Yoga Series with Meg Elaine

Each class will honor the Buddhist practice of Dana (giving), so you may give whatever monetary amount feels like a joyful exchange (cash only please).

Come enjoy 75 dreamy minutes of deep relaxation during this Restorative Yoga Nidra class.

This practice will incorporate Restorative postures, Basic Breathing Methods, and Yoga Nidra to slow us down within the glorious swiftness of summer.

The Restorative postures include the Pawanmuktasana series which enhances subtle awareness of the body, mind, and prana through a number of synovial joint movements, releasing excess wind from the body. In addition, the Basic Breathing Methods are utilized to induce mental tranquility and the relaxation response. For the final portion of class, Yoga Nidra will be instructed. Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep) is a conscious relaxation practice that gives subtle and powerful benefits to one's vitality: stress reduction, emotional balancing, and deep relaxation.

About the series:

Ground: a yoga series designed by Amanda Leaveck & Meg Elaine to connect with breath, body, and earth (hosted every Wednesday 6:15-7:30pm through the month of September). As the season comes to a close, we hope that this series will provide guidance in grounding scattered energy from the summer months and help find inner restoration. Amanda & Meg will alternative classes every other week - Amanda offering all levels Vinyasa and Meg guiding Restorative Yoga Nidra. We believe the two styles will compliment each other in a way that will both move energy that is stuck in our systems AND ground it into the earth.
