Art Opening: Sindibad O'Dell, Artist and Mystic

Sindibad O’Dell – Artist, Actor, Mystic & Pirate

Born in St. Petersburg Florida, he was raised in a small fishing village of Gulfport in the enchanting tropics of the Gulf of Mexico. This is where his pallet of color comes from, as well as being inspired by the wonder of Infinite diversity of life he found there.

His mother, Billy Gilliam, was an amazing jazz singer and a woman way ahead of her time and there was a lot of Bohemian influence on Sindibad from her side of the family. He has always had a driving passion for spirit, mysticism, and the arts, which has led him on an amazing creative journey.

At four years old, He was run over by a dump truck which injured his left brain. This injury barred him from mainstream society, and forced him to survive by his right brain. As a result he became a street performer, gypsy, mural painter, publication artist, and sold many paintings as a fine artist.

This show represents almost 50 years of work, particularly the surreal paintings and some artwear that Sindibad has created throughout the years.
